Cool. Someone will buy them and integrate it to get better trails race predications etc in their own offerings I guess. Trail running is so different in this regard. I'm glad Garmin has added better hills vs flat at least.

Don't know what Firecapture is but has the FPS improved yet? :)

The idea of delivering something specific that was decided months ago "on time" strikes me as nonsensical. A traditional project manager would be baffled by what I just said :-).

Of course, to pull this off, you need an organizational culture of trust and respect.

Me neither, but would like to mention that examples are very valuble documention. Especially runnable examples. If they can do double/triple duty as more advanced tests, exploration of api and future ideas, and not be just pure documentation examples, it's almost for free sometimes.

Totally agre. Where to draw the line though. I would very much like just the simple ability for a voice call home, or emergency services, on my Garmin watch.

My first thought too. Though in practice I prefer the Forerunner series, lighter and has all I need. "unfortunately" my Forerunner 645 still works perfectly.

At some point, I realized I would've argued the exact opposite position on a lot of topics just a few years ago.

Yes but not black and white? I like the ability of all cars here Europe to automatically (or manually) notify emergency services if airbags deployed or impact sensors triggered. Just like phones on both side of the pond detect emergency calls and lets the emergency services know of your location.
