No. License plate readers are used to track people.

Putting them in school zones and calling them “speed cameras” doesn’t make them magically immune to being used by the Feds to disappear people.

It is, but it's not fascinating, it's just acquiescing to the bully's demands instead of standing up to them.

Sadly your argument is "we have to let bigots demand bigoted things or else they will do more bigoted things. It sucks but bigots must be allowed to be bigots."

Where is the line that they shouldn't be allowed to cross?

Short answer: no.
Long answer: we are in a “time of strife” right now, but you still want to build out a network of LPRs across the city.

MNPD ran to the statehouse to get the democratically created oversight committee destroyed.

MNPD **will not abide by any rules the council imposes on them**.

You just started a new A24 horror franchise with this post.

What do you think I made up?
How do you think speed cameras work?

They would be license plate readers and the regime would use them to hunt people down. The safety of kids also includes keeping their parents from being disappeared after drop off.

As a city we’ve already had this conversation.

Hard pass.

We’ve really got to start thinking of ways to say “fuck you, make me” when they do that.

Tie the wage increase to the licenses structure. Mandate giant “I exploit my workers” signs in any business that doesn’t pay a living wage. Get creative with it.

I’ve always thought an established pizza place would be a prime co-op conversion opportunity.

Metro does LOVE tracking folks.

I don’t think any of them have apologized for pushing the license plate readers after trump was re-elected.

They‘re saying if they go fare free then *those* sorts of people, ones that may not “respect” the bus, ones that may be “too loud” or “take up too much space” would use the bus more.

I’d love to hear them waffle out an answer if someone asks them what would make them feel safe, because most of them wouldn't be able to give a coherent response and the rest wouldn’t give an honest one.

Bon Jovi’s bar is currently listed at $130 million, so if anything kid rock’s appraisal is probably a little low.

About 25% of military families are food insecure, and these ghouls cut snap.

They moved down the street from the very people they're making hungry.

whether you’re sitting or standing, if you’re under that pavilion you’re still getting splashed.

Because someone in the TN legislature told someone one time they could do it and everyone just believed they would, and no one thought to either check or actually question if the state would want the headache of running a city full of drunk tourists from michigan.

"Oh but he's in deep blue NYC! It's easy for him to defend trans folks!"

Andy Beshear has been doing it for years now and got re-elected in Mich McConnell's Kentucky.

This is the bare minimum requirement going forward. You don't get my vote if you don't defend my family member's right to exist.

She’s the one place that not only tells you that yes, all these “lone wolves” are in fact connected, she also tells you exactly how they are in a captivating narrative.
