Turns out 'bed-rotting' isn’t new, Victorian ladies were *literally* doing it first. Read more on this (and other news from 19th-century ladies' newspapers) in this latest blog 👇

Went to a tradicional typography in Seixal (Portugal) to learn about the beginning of printing. They even had a working replica of Gutenberg’s print. It was amazing!

Finally a place to discuss what we are reading. I just started this one today. It seemed only appropriate after visiting the exhibition “Medieval Women in Their Own Words” @britishlibrary.bsky.social

A 1500 Welsh language poem, on display in British Library 'Medieval Women' exhibition.

It explains how Annes, abbess of Llanllyr, commissioned the bard Huw Cae Llwyd to perform for a knight, in the hope he would grant her one wish - a pet monkey! Sadly, we don't know if Annes got her mwnci! 🙈🙉🙊
