some games already come pre-configured with custom layouts, it's a small thing but really does a lot to make these games easier to just jump into
default controls for sin & punishment on switch online, both sticks are mapped to the left stick and you can strafe with either the dpad or face buttons

a small thing i really like about the switch online emulators is the way that the controller mapping screen lists button functions on a per game basis

It’s a book with incredibly obvious appeal: What if greek mythology was a lesbian mecha? It’s a concept absolutely brimming with potential, and the sheer number of fan works—many of which have been incorporated into the series’ canon in a remarkably collaborative relationship between authors and fans—left me excited to see how these myths would be reimagined into a compelling world. Unfortunately, the execution leaves a lot to be desired. The world introduces a lot of interesting ideas, but very few of them have follow through. Take for example, gender. The gods are able to control their own appearances—and some of them are explicitly characterized as trans—but none of them are men. Mortals are primarily vat-grown rather than naturally conceived, and raised as blank slates until they choose their genders. Surely this would have some interesting effects on gender relations, wouldn’t there? Unfortunately not. As I discussed in my WARHOUND review, trans characters feel notably incomplete in a world that minimizes gender. Even the named trans characters treat their transition with such nonchalance, that the only notable difference between cis and trans women seems to be their genitals. There is exactly one named male character in the entire book (who might actually just be a he/him lesbian, I’m not sure). The Hades Calculus presents a world where you can be any gender you want, as long as you aren’t a man, or attracted to them. And that would be okay—the authors are clearly disinterested in telling a story about men—but their absence hangs an awkward shadow over the narrative as a result of unexplored worldbuilding choices. Everyone is horny, but no one has chemistry. Character relationships largely came off as lifeless and dull, lacking the necessary tension to keep things engaging.
