The world is on fire, but be sure to feel a little better by taking the time to watch a 3 hour documentary about video stores, made by Alex Ross Perry and narrated by Maya Hawke.

Left my apartment for the first time since last Thursday morning to get yelled and cussed at by a tiny, awesome Australian.

What the fuck is going on!!!? Last time I saw Jeff Rosenstock several years it was on the tiny stage at Baraccuda. This is like a small festival stage and crowd. I had never even heard of this newish venue before buying this ticket. Congrats, Jeff. Couldn't happen to a better guy.

I got to see Black Phone 2 last night. It's their version of Dream Warriors but against The Grabber instead of Freddy. I guess since Madeleine McGraw stole every scene in the first, they pretty much made her the lead of this one. Good fun.

This was along South Congress a while back and forgot to post it. Hey, @evilmopacatx.bsky.social. Can you use your influence at city hall to see if they can update keep Austin weird with this?

Happy 25th to At the Drive-In's Relationship of Command. A true post-hardcore classic.

One day later, I've decided to give that shooting the attention they give other shootings. So none.

As for Colorado, I hope those two kids pull through.

LET'S FUCKING GO!
I know I told myself I would never again get my hopes up about a statewide election in Texas, but love this guy. Honestly, thought he'd shoot for governor, but let's do this.

Every HEB in Austin is sold out, and I'm sad. I don't think I can watch the new King of the Hill until it's back in stock.

The way I keep seeing videos of people saying they're buying their first ever Superman comics and stores saying they're selling way more Superman books in the last couple of weeks.

Every time a garbage human dies and people want to say, "He was a person, pay some respect.", I think of this Death Cab for Cutie lyric:

And just cause he's gone it doesn't change the fact
He was a bastard in life thus a bastard in death.

Coolest thing today was finding out one of my favorite guitar players is on the Superman score. Now I'm looking forward to seeing it again tonight even more.

Wow. Local burger chain donates $150,000. HEB donates $5 million. Surely, Buc-ee's would like to respond to the claim that only left leaning Texas companies are charitable and care about the community... *crickets*

1) I actually saw this in the theater an hour away twice.

2) I got the poster from the record store that also sold tickets to the raves in Houston.
In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Adesola Thomas dives deep into the euphoric appreciation of the rave scene as captured in director Greg Harrison’s criminally underseen Groove. boxd.it/2Cu
