We're working on a couple of projects atm that will hopefully provide more granular data in a few months.

Great stuff, @korimakoecology.bsky.social . We were thinking that we should do this analysis when we get some time.
It would be useful to bring in the LiDAR data to get the tree height, as the affected native vegetation seems to be low and regenerating.

There's a lot of bare land now up in the hills and it doesn't bode well for the heavy rain coming this weekend. I really hope the communities will get help to clear up the waterways before more silt comes down 🤞

Tough one. "Data scientist" is a bit dated, for sure, but I like the science bit. "Data analyst" sounds to me like a person looking at Excel graphs, and "statistician" sounds like someone who screams when the data is not normally distributed.
