Plain old everyday California beauty. It's everywhere you look.

This is from Anniversary Trail in Windy Hill, looking west toward the Pacific.

Fantastic. Here's one in flight I managed to capture against a cloudy background.

Spent some time on my long walk today out on the salt flats near the Alviso marina.

These pics feature the red coloring that I think comes from some salt-loving microbe or algae.

Yesterday I snapped what I thought were century plants, but probably are agave. A dozen or more are flowering (budding?) in the border of a closed commercial building near Hwy 237 in Santa Clara CA. Many more buds had been sawed off, probably last year.

Thanks for the ID.

Climbed Berryessa Peak Trail yesterday. The trail runs up to the cliffs and turns right to eventually reach the peak. Saw a small rattler next to the trail on the way down.

Trump has actually outdone himself with pure nonsense.

Soon he'll feign ignorance and throw someone under the bus for this algorithm, which saved time for some starstruck underling tasked with ginning up an impressive-looking list. But Trump has revealed before that he BELIEVES this claptrap.
