I realized today that a house costs the same as 110 carrots in Palia. Where do I get that deal in real life?

Was itching to make something. Decided to finally open up the PlayDate and see how fast I could get a loop going. Took about 6 hours. Pulp is a nice little tool, took a bit to understand some of the limitations, but definitely great to just dive in with.

The situation in LA makes me incredibly sad. Someone is going to get killed soon, and it would not have been necessary. There are so many other ways we can solve problems - ratcheting up violence and using force isn’t the answer.

Sad that my Switch 2 Pre-order didn’t arrive today. I knew I should have just purchased it as a pick up instead of delivery. Should be coming tomorrow though!

Every time I play the NYT connections game I think about how unfun it is. It feels designed to make players feel dumb rather than making you feel smart.

Finally took the time to progress my Palia account to enjoy Elderwood with everyone else tomorrow. Can’t wait for everyone to get to experience all the new things - and to welcome all the new players!

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m definitely ready to replay Oblivion. Hopefully they tweaked the leveling system, because at 100 hours it became impossible

Picking an announcement day is always hard. Never know what else is going on.

Super excited for players to finally get a look at our first major expansion to Palia. Team has been crushing it to bring this together while also shipping new content every month.

Headed to GDC for the first time since pre-COVID. I feel so out of the loop, what cool events are happening that week?

Currently replaying FFIX for the first time in like 20 years. This game is so unfriendly, I feel bad if this was someone’s first entry into Final Fantasy

I wonder if anyone has ever said, “I love that I unlocked new ways to pay money” in a game.

Been waiting for a Switch 2 announcement to decide if I get a Steam Deck. I don’t need both, but I don’t want to regret buying one shortly after

Thankfully been safe during these fires though we are in the edge of an evac order area. Wishing the best to all those affected, this is a scary time.

This is a cool post that talks a bit more about behind the scenes financials of game dev.
itchio suggests creators price stuff $2+ on their platform so i decided to make a chart... at $1 almost half the money disappears to fees!

$2 sets the total fees under 30% (30% is the usual platform fee for steam & consoles, not including other fees)
