In our biorxiv preprint, we present cryo-EM structures of assembled nucleoproteins from Langya henipavirus in both RNA-bound and RNA-free forms.
We see open and closed states and suggest opening of the assembled nucleocapsid protomers could give the polymerase fleeting access to the genome.
