I’ve been obsessed with Underground Comix for like 2 years now. A Seattle comic artist/coworker (now we are friends) who goes by AtomIvan introduced me to a lot of the Robert Crumb/60s - 80s comix scene. Yeah lighting and using cast shadow and toning is something I’ve been trying to get better at.

I’ve been wanting to get into Clay Modeling. To make Corben/Frazettaesque pieces. I never had experience with Clay even in college. I did use Blender in High School for a class. What would you recommend. Like I really wanna get better at making characters look like… well the guys I mentioned?

I can see the corben influence just oozing out of this piece. It's really the level I wanna get to soon.
