It's now official: starting next year, I will join the Observatoire de Paris (LERMA) as an assistant professor at Sorbonne Université. In other words: I got a job! An astronomy job! In France! I'll probably talk a lot more about it, but for now, time to just be happy :-)

Sure, Paris is noisy, dirty, stressful, overpriced etc. But it's also one of the most beautiful city I've been to.

I should have done it earlier, but quick advertisement for a new paper (arxiv.org/abs/2402.17635) written by my former student (now doing a PhD in Geneva), Emma Giovinazzo! Emma used the Obelisk simulation to connect Lya and LyC photons at z=6, and… "it's complicated". For details, read the paper!
