#yousoundfamiliar The questions/output was complete nonsense and weird. I honestly had no clue how to even begin a response considering how weird and obtoose it was.

#SMEno1fav the "nonsense" really ramped up around here.. and i returned the favor and just typing as fast as my brain would pump words out

#realityhunger I will say now that my view of fiction/the grounded truth has shifted from just making stuff up–to making an argament of facts, just like how our minds do. We don't store things in a linear way exactly how they happened, but rather we arrange things in an intuitive way?
February 10, 2026 at 9:56 PM
#realityhunger human memory goes to length to provide evidance—however removed that may be from reality... is this saying that we as humans have a very fictional mind? like we will invent our own facts to keep ideas straight?
February 10, 2026 at 9:50 PM
#realityhunger Honestly, I have always had a hard time reading fiction.. because nothing makes sense.. the made up stuff is to abstract for my brain. I would say it is like riding the passenger seat in a clown suit
February 10, 2026 at 9:46 PM
#realityhunger moving to ChapterE: Facts are the facts—no denying that... but it is interesting that they bring up the question of WHAT is a Fact or what makes it true?
in the logical sense, a fact is something that can be proved logically...
February 10, 2026 at 9:37 PM
#realityhunger it raises the question... what is "real art" what makes art... well art? I think the interpretation of what makes art is very different depending on who you ask.
February 10, 2026 at 9:31 PM
#realityhunger I think it is intresting to view stories and liteature like this... back then they did not acklowege the fact that it was made up / lies, but rather just manipulating a truth so that to a certain extent it can be true
February 10, 2026 at 9:27 PM
#realityhunger It is interesting that fiction != completely made up... but rather a potential interpretation that has been shaped/molded.
February 10, 2026 at 9:16 PM
#realityhunger this paragraph here is interesting; using art to blur the lines between fiction and non-fiction. Using art to bridge the gap between reality and this fantasy world?
February 10, 2026 at 9:01 PM
#realityhunger First sentence: art is trying to smuggle reality into art.... but what is not real about art? what does it mean smuggle into reality?

#primarytakeaway AFAIK No1 is the self interview, and Joe's explanation of how genAI is influcned with prompts is really important to keep in mind when interacting with LLms; evenbeyond Sme1
February 7, 2026 at 5:41 PM
#joesopinion I really appreciate Joe's standpoint on Cothinking and Cocreating with GenAI. GenAI has capabilities that no human can match. The entire paradigm will/is shifting, but the underlying qualities of what makes humans great thinkers are not going anywhere.

#helpfulassistant
Prompting is the most important element when interacting with GenAi like this. It really highlights the realities of 'garbage in, garbage out". Crappy prompt = crappy result
February 7, 2026 at 5:33 PM
#joeandashley Oh, the black box of AI—particularly transformers (architecture behind many GenAI tools, etc.).
Even from an engineering standpoint, it is a total black box. We can only really infer how a model is tracking and interpreting data. And we can only really steer it in a general direction
February 5, 2026 at 8:54 PM
#joeandashley in MLops, a core component is properly defining the persona and role of the system. As Joe said, different system prompts hold can significantly change the output... and depending on how the system interprets the prompt
February 5, 2026 at 8:44 PM
#joeandashley Joe said "if you are online you are in the online world"... I agree with this statement. We need to remember that AI goes way beyond the generative chatbots that we use to cheat hw and assignments.

#atmospherestudy This entire clip of the podcast just does not make any sense. Are they descirbing the icecream and how it impacts them? A family event at the playground? The supsense is real
February 5, 2026 at 3:55 PM
#atmospherestudy compared to TMITM, because it is only audio, I an intrepting a "movie" in my head of what is happening. Like based on the descriptions, and the sound of the bacground. I am imageining an environment where all of this nonsensical sounds are put together.
February 5, 2026 at 3:55 PM
#atmospherestudy defo during the last few seconds of the clip where the narrator is echoing the voice over the playground screaming. "i dont remeber much.. " pleeting, fizzing, fragemnts of joyful memories"
February 5, 2026 at 3:53 PM
#knickerbockerglory Children's playground with all of this disturbing screaming? seems very concering. And the echoing of the words at the end... this just seems very well strange.
February 5, 2026 at 3:52 PM
#knickerbockerglory The sounds after "kinckerbocker glory "seems very distrubting with people asking for help/screaming
February 5, 2026 at 3:51 PM
#knickerbockerglory at about 3 minutes in... there is still zero talking or explanation. It is just the background noise of a restaurant.
very abstract sounds and talking.
February 5, 2026 at 3:49 PM
#knickerbockerglory The water and weird singing in the background is weird consideirng they are talking about ice cream?
February 5, 2026 at 3:48 PM
#knickerbockerglory There is a lot of background noise and is very very distracting. the birds, and background talking
