Importantly, however, there is a convergence on a deregulatory agenda, not least as France seeks to boost its AI hopeful Mistral.

Today, the European Commission unveils its "digital omnibus" proposal including deregulatory measures regarding AI, data protection etc.

But to what extent does it make sense to transpose the concept of a "government/von der Leyen" coalition to the European Parliament? The EU is not a parliamentary system.
