Out of the blue, my favorite film of the year, absolutely cleaved my heart in two. A deeply generous film about show people, warts and all, a return to intelligent stagey cinema I’ve missed so in the streaming era, the kind of one-late-night film I’d hope someone would make of my life: 🧵
