27yo. He/him.

Shouting to the Blue Sky crowd about video games and such. JRPG/Horror/Action/Adventure games mostly.
19/ Control - (77/100) - enjoyable action game from Remedy, though the story didn't quite interest me as the world-building of the Oldest House. Art direction is on point as ever!

18/ Heartworm - (68/100) - kinda forgettable overall. Feels like a lost potential more than anything. Needed more time in the oven.

17/ Silent Hill f - (82/100) - Beautifully told story but the game suffers a bit from too many forced encounters near the end. However, it's a great return to form for Silent Hill.

16/ Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter - (90/100) - Sky FC but redone from scratch with fully 3D environment and great animations. The ending is as heartbreaking as always. Offers evrything the best the "future" installements have to offer.

15/ Pikmin 2 - (70/100) - I can never fully vibe with this game. Even if it is more strategic that the first. But the procedurally generated caves seem to troll you more than provide a real challenge. And getting 100 purple Pikmin is a chore.

14/ Duck Detective: the Ghost of Glamping - (75/100) - A good improvement on puzzle logic from the original. Quirky cast of characters and a grand good time. Voice acting is always top-notch.

13/ Pikmin - (80/100) - Very biased towards Pikmin 1 but it's simple, challenging, requires some strategy to fit within the time limit. Switch version doesn't control as well as on the Wii. Still cute as heck.

12/ The Roottrees are Dead - (72/100) - A very good take on fill in the blanks genre of puzzle/adventure game. Presentation is a bit simplistic but it is very difficult and satisfying when you get something right. Good hint system and internal logic so it is very solvable.
October 26, 2025 at 11:46 AM
11/ Post Trauma - (68/100) - A bit clunky in combat and puzzles but there's a certain charm to it and the awkward main character. Tries to do something unique so I applaud the effort.

10/ Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy - (89/100) - Kodaka, I kneel. This is arguably the best thing to come out of Kodaka's crazy head but the narrative and characters are worth experiencing. I did get all 100 endings and while some were a miss with me, this game deserves recognition.

I! Need! The! Full! Release! Of! Bits & Bops! RIGHT! NOW! With the new demo perfected I really cannot wait for the full release. Hopefully 2025 is the year!

9/ Look Outside - (78/100) - Beautifully grotesque pixel art joy of a ride that hopefully gets completed content in the future to be truly amazing. Will definitely revisit after a couple major updates.

Arianrhod my beloved. Now I just need to find the time to build these. #trailsofcoldsteel3 I'm super stoked they finally released!

8/ Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 - (92/100) - This game makes you feel "Wheeeee!" but also "Whooo" and I love it for it.

After fighting the post office I finally managed to get my hands on Artbooks for Daybreak 1/2 + Horizon. Now I got them all!... at least those released for Reverie onwards 😅

7/ Trails through Daybreak II - (75/100) - Gameplay is top notch both turn based and action; the story is a bit simpler and doesn't push the narrative forward but has good character moments which is worth experiencing for longtime fans. ALSO FISHING IS BACK 10/10
April 13, 2025 at 9:06 PM
6/ Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii - (79/100) - A wacky adventure with Majima as a protagonist. He cute, he kicks ass, he makes a grown man cry. A great time all around and gameplay is great as always. RGG doesn't dissapoint

5/ 1000X Resist - (88/100) - Possibly one of the best narrative artistic pieces from last year??? It had me thinking and scratching my brains for a while after finishing this surreal adventure. Very funny at times too, the writing in general was superb

Not usually something I do, but it was short and sweet. Scarily accurate, too, lmao

4/ Hollowbody - (82/100) - A fantastic callback to classic survival horror of the PS2 era with its own unique identity. Combat can feel a bit janky but the exploration and vibes more than make up for that. I like that we're not given all the answers!
January 19, 2025 at 5:57 PM
3/ Mouthwashing - (90/100) - One of those games that's better described by 'experienced' than 'played'. Definitely a surreal game that got me thinking about long after I closed it.
January 19, 2025 at 5:57 PM
2/ Cast Away - (62/100) - A nice bite-sized adventure that I kinda wish leaned more into the Zelda-esque initial adventure that the Tower climb mode unlocked after. Cute but I was hoping for more in the end. However, what it does, it does fairly decently!
January 7, 2025 at 7:43 PM
1/ Loco Motive - (87/100) - I'm slowly getting (back) into adventure games and this is a treat. Great VA work and expressive pixel art! Generous hint system made it very doable to finish. I had minor inventory nitpicks but it's a great classic-style point-and-click with funny characters

This truly was a year of jRPGs, huh. #SteamReplay

Finished Death of the Reprobate. Many shenanigans ensued. Loved being a wee menace to society. 10/10. LOL'ed a lot.
