Apart from fighting poverty and inequality, unconditional cash transfers provide agency and dignity. Everyone deserves the right to choose when it comes to basics. All over the world we are facing poverty, increasing inequality, and a climate crisis that cannot be solved by looking left, right, or clinging to outdated economic models. It's time to stop circling old ideas and start moving forward to new ground-up solutions. It's time for UBI.

Let's not bury our heads in sand and pretend the solution to poverty and inequality isn't directly in front of us. Everyone deserves equal access to dignity, opportunity and BASIC resources. It's time we stopped pretending and started demanding UBI.

Africa faces a triple crisis of poverty, climate change & underdevelopment rooted in centuries of extraction & exploitation. There is a need for resource injection to people & communities through unconditional cash transfers to build resilience and local-led sustainable solutions.

Globally women do 76% of unpaid care work; in Kenya women spend 4-5 hrs daily. We need to implement policies like UBI that will support and compensate all workers who take care of us and others in our communities. Happy Labour Day!

UBI provides a safety net, alleviating stress and worries and creating a more productive and engaged workforce.
It's a win-win for both employers and employees.
