Maker of things you're willing to pay extra not to have to look at. Sort of the Anti-'Ringo.
First on the tree. Sure hope that isn't krypronite.

Smoked my first whole turkey. I made a pretty big mistake (you can probably see what it is) but it still came out amazing.

This year's addition.

I've been missing my Mom lately and decided to make the no-bake cookies she brought every Thanksgiving. It's been two years since we lost her and a couple more years since she was able to make them. Everyone seems to have a recipe for them so they're not special. Except to me.

Why does every NFL team suddenly have like 50 versions of their uniforms?

Heading out to Baltimore for Baltimore Comic-Con but had a stop to make before leaving town.

Me in every meeting today now that Ivan (the healthy cat) has declared, "I will take breakfast at 4:00 a.m. going forward, thank you Jeeves."

Folks, barring any cat-tastrophes, Suze and I will be at Baltimore Comic-Con this year, representing the Mike Wieringo Scholarship at SCAD. I’ll be co-presenting the ‘Ringo Spirit Award. Visit us at booth #718 and pick up some of Mike’s original art or books. All proceeds go to the scholarship.

I'm entering my AARP years and yet I still have to be talked out of buying this stuff.

My desk is right next to a giant white board where work is sometimes presented internally. Whenever I'm out of the office for any length of time, I always come back to a bunch of trash people have left on my desk during these meetings like it's the sidewalk outside a bus station.

Danger is LOVING vacation.

Our first sunset of vacation. It's too bad this house was built a few years ago, blocking our view. At least they took down the Trump flags.

Why didn't anyone tell me Graham Greene passed? The man was an absolute treasure who was a joy to watch and elevated everything he was in. R.I.P.

Not a huge fan of the pampas grass the previous owner planted in our yard but when the light hits it just right...

Got my copy of THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT today at The Fountain Bookstore, my favorite local bookstore which happens to be on the same block as the agency where I work. So excited!

The Year of Mike continues. Just received a copy of this month's BACK ISSUE! Magazine featuring a retrospective of Mike's ROGUE miniseries. Keep it comin'!

The Terrific Two finally saw The Fantastic Four today. I loved every minute of it. While Superman was pure joy, this felt like a religious experience. Yes, Suze and I teared up when Mike's name came up on the screen. Though, tbh, the Jack Kirby quote had already gotten me.

Feels like Mike is having a moment. Apparently he's in the thank yous after the Fantastic Four movie (!). I found this magazine at B&N featuring one of his FF issues and there's a facsimile edition of his Spider-Boy Amalgam comic being released. Go, Mike!

"OMG! Look what we just discovered that nobody knew about!"

I love how they act like this hasn't all been right there, readily available the whole time for, oh I don't know, anyone claiming to be journalists. Or anyone with a social media account.

The Flash is my favorite of Mike's work. It was his first regular assignment. You can see all his influences in the first couple issues as he figured out what he wanted to do. I was in the room when he got the gig and got to watch him draw most of the first issue.

The world is hot garbage and I missed another Heroes Con. But my cats are doing better and Suze just planted the marigolds she got for me. (A family tradition.) So I'm celebrating with some Falcon Smash from Triple Crossing.
