Teaches theatre history and the occasional comic book in Milwaukee.
It’s so irksome that he understood a thing and could do it well but got his brain broken in 2016 when normies thought he got an election he actually kind of nailed wrong. It snapped him like a twig in real time.

And where does public opinion come from Nate? I remember when he hated punditry. Now he just does it.
December 13, 2025 at 11:50 PM
Yes. Made so much worse because he had three years of being “a witch.” So we gassed up his ego.
December 13, 2025 at 11:47 PM
God he’s dumb and his weakness is ego.

Poor English majors catching strays. But yes.

But you’re right. I should have said it was not smart instead of appealing to any notion of equity and justice for the millions of autistic kids who are called by our schools and smarter than you.

Bye

This is silly even if you just take science classes.

I love it when people who just have smart kids with resources think that means everyone else isn’t being cooked by the phones in their pockets. But even your genius kids should be doing projects that aren’t quizzes.

This suggestion is in fact really stupid if you think about what writing is. The idea that all writing can be done in class is idiotic. Writing is thinking. Revision is thinking.

Roll your eyes at the ableism all you want. The idea is tantamount to dumbing down education even without it.

Thank the good lord you don’t teach.
November 24, 2025 at 7:32 AM
This isn’t my point. Pretending that in-class writing is a replacement for the millions of ways we use writing in teaching and learning is absurd. The ableism in the tip of the iceberg.

If solutions to the scourge of ai were simple we’d have found them.
November 24, 2025 at 7:30 AM
That’s not my point. In class writing isn’t a replacement for the essay and it’s ableist to think it is.
November 24, 2025 at 7:29 AM
Yes, they should. They’re almost never given and most disabilities aren’t actually diagnosed. Meanwhile autism is becoming part of a moral panic.

But just keep your foot on the gas, confident that you understand disability.

Neat.
November 24, 2025 at 7:27 AM
I have found almost nothing really works. Grading things that sound like AI poorly — while spending some time establishing what that means — is the only thing that makes any sense to me and even that is brutal in execution.

I get this but/and in my experience it would hurt a lot of good students who have challenges to in-class writing and would require genuine accommodation efforts.
November 23, 2025 at 11:18 PM
It is except for the many students who have legit reasons not to be evaluated on in-class work unless you can provide distraction free environments and extra time and handwriting assists.
November 23, 2025 at 11:17 PM
Oh it floats my boat. Thinking is hard is all.

It’s the tone one uses while pepper spraying children.

Who is the fixer in this context? Is that how he sees himself? Like the Wolf in Pulp Fiction?

Which is I think why she hated writing a novel and the novel is a LOT. I like it a great deal but/and find it more demanding than one would expect from the clarity of her writing. Just because it requires constant adjustment of assumptions and thinking is hard and it’s long.

And at least partially about language itself and what stories can do if you can convince a reader to conspire with you to break them.

If the cutoff had been 1982, the Secret of NIMH would have been a little close for me.

Like seriously: the document that gives him power prohibits him from running for the office he holds. Schismatic POTUS. Let’s elect our own.

The problem I think is that kings were kings because of money and power which means unregulated capitalist democracy produces kings.
