Absolutely. And they could - crazy - pay for and licence training data rather than just use public domain. (Or steal. They’re going for steal.)

But this feels the dystopian future we are heading for. Films by tech bros who don’t like films. Books by tech bros who don’t like books. Art by tech bros who don’t like art. And maybe an audience that can’t tell or care about the difference.

The mimicry will surely improve, but ultimately this is a mechanical algorithm imitating people, not a human trying to communicate a humanity. And the AIs will only be incentivised to be ‘good enough’. Good enough for profit. Good enough to save money. Not good enough to comfort or love or wound.

That Elixir has arbitrary precision integers by default. (Woohoo! One less thing to worry about today.)
