That's the joy of it. So much new music! In genres you've maybe not heard before.

Depends on the album.

Not in my case. I was once on a team building exercise at work where we were doing personality types and when it came to me there was a long silence and then my boss said "... well I'll bet money it's not 'completer-finisher'"

I'm a centrist. It's a function of how much the overton window has changed, not our politics

I only really know Nebraska which is a great record but it's hard work. At the risk of yucking your yum, I'd say Let's Be Friends and Mary's Place were easy cuts from The Rising. There were a couple of others that didn't work for me, too. But the opening run of tracks are fantastic.

Yeah the first three tracks are absolutely cracking ... and then it kind of falls off a cliff. The saxophones in particular are extremely unwise.

#10 is The Rising by Bruce Springsteen. New to me. Even as a response to 9/11, this feel overly cheesy & sentimental. On some tracks, Springsteen has the oomph & gravitas to make them anthemic nevertheless. When he can't, the results are flat-out terrible 3/5 1001albumsgenerator.com/albums/23vzC...

I'm not arguing otherwise. Just offering a workaround that I've found effective.

I have found rephrasing the question works, which isn't always fawning. "Why?" can sound demanding and presumptive. "Oh, could you explain?" or similar can get better results.

The Old King's Crown does this beautifully: it's not even on a sideboard, but part of the flow of the main game board.
