I would say that yes, this is also a contributing factor. Besides a very few topline issues, there is a lack of specificity. The specific policies are also interpreted through the way opponents descirbe them as well so it's hard to discuss anything without sounding "biased" even if your are quoting.

Let me say that differently. It was easy to draw a chart about the core beliefs of the parties in say 2014, it is quite challenging to do so now. We could put up those beliefs and then have a discussion about them and explain them.

I'm not sure how I would even do that now.

I was trying to dig into it some. That graphic does not really illustrate the point they are trying to make, but the graphic in the pull image is interesting, and I wonder if it no longer exists. Either way, thanks for sharing!

What’s astounding is that people who believe that not voting is a good idea don’t realize that this view has been heavily and repeatedly marketed to them their entire life with the exact goal of getting them not to vote. It’s been marketed to them as noble by people who don't want them to vote.
