I miss the shows. Never saw a Cirque du Soleil show that didn't awe me. But now I'm in a different life stage and it's so pricey there.

I watched a Thanksgiving episode of the West Wing earlier. I know it's fiction. I know it's saccharine. But it brought a tear to my eye a few times just to see the idea of decency in the White House. Maybe we can get that back sometime.

Having said all that, many people think of Thanksgiving as the premier American secular holiday.

I've never seen a lot of red white and blue at Thanksgiving either. Fall colors, and now there's even Christmas creep. There's more Christmas creep than any Fourth of July that I've seen. That said, some flags and stuff around a Fox News promo wouldn't surprise me.
