Early christmas present? 😛
I mean, for what it's worth, it's definitely much more compact than the sheer amount of yarn for the same price, I daresay 🙃

I find that I can't enjoy maths in the same capacity as some of my colleagues since I'm doing it for my current PhD. I'm sure for me the enjoyment will return when I can address it at my own pace.
It's kinda like the whole "Don't turn your hobby/passion into a job" thing, or keep a healthy distance

So I've had entire conversations about this in my head, and reading your post brought back up sheer amount of internal noise I dealt with back then. 😅

The graph theory subject I once took and then tutored later on had a lot of theorems that didn't actually get used in exercises assessments, etc. and I struggled with trying to figure out why because I didn't realise I was optimising for assessments.

You made Twitter palatable for like-minded people with your insights and your shit posting.
But I empathize with the feeling that it feels like nothing because realistically none of the clout seems to come back to benefit you in a visible way.

Re: The article. I pretty much saw the same complaints happening with UniMelb and the Melbourne Model when that happened back in....2010? Because I was in the first Melbourne Model batch around 2010.
I'm ambivalent about naming, though I understand your arguments!

I've always found it hilarious that a common theme amongst those kinds of people is just a general obsession of "numbers go up". It's like they haven't found things in life with greater intrinsic meaning.

No no no I knew that, but I don't know /how/.
The tests themselves are all given as formulas but I don't know how to reverse-engineer that into the GLM, or the other way round. That's the part I'm stuck on.

I immediately kept hearing the "WA-POW!" sound effect, though I do wish they used a spikier background on the sold price instead of a rounded rectangle. Needed more impact.

God I hope he wins. I'm learning a lot about how he's navigating non-white vs. white people tensions and would love to see more of it.
