I’m using Cursor. I preferred Windsurf for what I’m doing when we were evaluating tools, but after months of negotiations, our purchasing department still has not reached an agreement on licensing terms. The tools you mentioned were not in the running.

… techniques of having it document the code in smaller chunks and try to reason over the documents, but I think I’ll need to convert it into a knowledge base, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to get what I would need to do that.

… subtle but significant, the LLM will make so many mistakes that you’ll spend more time fixing it than you would have just doing it yourself in the first place. It really works well for consultants who do variations on well-known themes over and over again.

Put them in a slow cooker with potatoes, barley, and anything else you want, seasoned to your taste. Let it cook overnight and enjoy it for lunch, especially on a Saturday. It’s called cholent.

This looks like contemporary design intended to invoke the spirit of movie palaces of Hollywood’s Golden Era. The treatments on either side of the screen imply the existence of a Silent Era pipe organ. Or is this actually a century-old movie palace that got a recent facelift?

While economic policy feels like the late 1920s, foreign policy feels like the mid-1930s. Seems like somebody is going through a catalog of the biggest policy mistakes of the 20th Century and saying, “Americans love sequels.”

No way to remake it. Its charm is almost entirely in its execution. It’s Dante’s style that makes the story work.
