I once spoke of myself this way. Separating the parts of myself as an easy to deal with the difficulties of my particular neurodivergence. This #transplantjourney and the illnesses just before it, taught me to accept my full self. To "take off my mask," if you will. Now? "I and my storm are one."

Got to hang out tonight with one of the friends that helped me through the last few years of my illnesses and transplant. I hadn't seen #AlvinAiley live since my 20s. I was moved to tears watching them do "Revelations," thinking about the last time in my teens that I saw it with both my parents.

After almost 30 years of battling mine? They know but don't care enough to step in until the "TV show Special Episode" level of depressed. Then they try the same bad ideas. Your therapist & psychiatrist are so important because no one else is equipped to help. Get rid of those who don't support you.
