Most of that tech stuff is already well under way. Several states already let you bind your driver’s license to your phone, for purposes that are (at present) entirely unconvincing. The interesting “hard” problems are all around privacy and fraud-resistance.

So I’ve complained about JHU’s academic freedom statement, which is fine, but also looks like someone banged it out in 5 minutes using the default font in Google Docs. And I’ve thought about just reformatting it with a better font. But what if we went… bigger?

Anyway I was on the east side of Manhattan and I was shocked that Brooklyn also has am identical Domino Sugar factory but I checked and theirs is full of knowledge workers using ChatGPT like a normal American city.
