Very sad day. Brian Wilson molded together sadness and beauty into perfect pop songs. A genius truly.

Marketed as a breakup letter with the West, this feels more like a question of how can/will we continue to live here? Can there be hope? How can we live with the harm that we become complicit in by being a part of this American empire? It hasn't left my thoughts since I finished it.

This is a really cool small Chicago press that does magazines and chapbooks. The newest issue of their music zine, Portable Model, is about to be released and you should order it. The first issue was wonderful and I'm excited to get the new one soon.

This is really good. Not always an easy listen, there is a lot of violence, but really good.

As a kid I read an allegorical series of books about Magic Bicycles. They were pretty strange even by weird Christian literature standards.
A person on a bicycle is by far the most energy-efficient among animals and machines per distance traveled relative to body weight. The bicycle is magic.

I made a thing!

I was playing around with the AT protocol and as a little experiment I made a website that visualises activity around Bluesky: nightsky.hctr.dev

It listens to all new posts and shows them as little stars across a night sky 🌃

Every star is someone, somewhere, posting something
Nightsky | hctr.dev
See live conversations from all over Bluesky as a dynamic night sky
