Mostly just Argyle chat.
Good win again. We have the most away wins in the league too which is pretty crazy. Just don’t look at the home table…

We went 53 minutes in the middle of the game where our only shot was a Caleb Watts half way line try…

Pepple that was outrageous

29th Jan.
8 off of play offs, on better form than those above.
This feels like a big few days, Stockport away and the transfer window.

Very reactionary but if we win at Stockport, part of me wants back Cleverley with whatever he needs in the window on Monday for a play off race.

Pepple give anyone else Reuben Reid vibes?

Power on the ball, always a nuisance and can hold it up.

Reid struggled for goals initially but once he got going he was phenomenal. Pepple getting into those scoring positions, has 3 goals in 4, hopefully follows a similar trajectory.

Great performance. Maybe the best under Cleverley?

Should have been more but the 3 points are what matters.

Sad to see Mumba move on, he was a big part of our success and we had a lot of great memories.
Goals v Ipswich, Exeter, Huddersfield to name a few.
It hasn’t quite clicked in the last 2 years, but I think he’s become an easy scapegoat, or a victim of his own success.

Wonder why our team packs composure, probably because our manager has zero.

If we lose the season is already over, if we win it’s another win with no Cleverley in the dugout.

So just get rid.

Comfortable enough win against an injury ridden Burton.

Would’ve liked to have seen us do more in open play but not going to complain now we are a threat from set pieces.

Nothing to get carried away with though. We enter a real test of fixtures post this break.

Looked alright first half but lacked that final third quality.

Bar a 7 minute spell between us making 3 subs and Stevenage making 3 subs that second half was crap.

A draw feels fair, after the goal I thought we’d really kick on yet we had no reaction to their subs.

Onto Monday.

Think Wiredu in for Ralls is a fine replacement, been very good in midfield when asked upon recently.

Oseni got some rest too.

Also must be nearing an Amaechi start.

Need a replay but looked a clear red+pen from the stands.

Goals 2 and 3 shambolic.

Winning streak was fun while it lasted

Argyle unchanged, good stuff.

Going to be a tough one today, not that many so far haven’t been.

Reading wins also coming without the ball, their attack can be clinical.

But a good test for where we are at here.

6 in 6 for Morgan Whittaker.

Starting to play with confidence and looks like 23/24 Morgan. It’s great to see him show his worth at last.

Similar performance to Tuesday.

Goal was well worked and it’s another clean sheet.

Wasn’t pretty, and on another day the opposition are more clinical and take those chances. But right now the result matters more.

it’s another win to build from

A worthwhile Tuesday night trip.

Players stuck with it, Oseni took the chance, fair play to them all.

Reminiscent of the 1-0 win here under Schumacher.

Guess the players aren’t actually that bad…

Can blame recruitment etc.
Bradford have a squad that mostly played League Two last season, were missing Pointon and Cook. Still, they have a philosophy, a plan, they stick to it and are second.

Yet for us this isn’t on the coach? Come on now it’s getting ridiculous

As usual we look fine playing short sharp passes but then someone just boots it 50 yards for no reason and gives it away.

The Adams appointment seems bizarre but I have to admit it’s (albeit not directly Adams) what I asked to happen a few weeks ago if Cleverly wasn’t going to be sacked.

Get someone with experience in behind the scenes.

It’s a few weeks late but at least something has happened.

Chance to change something gone.

So no comment until something changes

#pafc
Something needs to change now at @pafc.co.uk. We need experience in that back room. Whether that comes in the form of a manager change, new assistant coaches or DoF I don’t care.

It just has to happen.

This season:

Played 13
Fallen behind in 8
Lost all 8 of those.

ZERO points from losing positions.

Pathetic.

#pafc
Btw this is now:

Played 98
Fallen behind in 69
Lost 48 of those

We lose 69.6% of games we fall behind in.

Mentally weak.

#pafc
In the last two seasons plus this one @pafc.co.uk have played 94 league games.

We’ve fallen behind in 66 of them.

Of those 66 we’ve won 6, drawn 15 and lost 45.

We can’t keep conceding first, conceding simple goals after a bright starts. It’s unsustainable.

No post match interview uploaded yet.

Just want to hear what Cleverly actually makes of that, as well as the last few games.

It’s just 3 games post battering Burton, what has happened since? As they are 3 of the worst games I’ve seen an Argyle side play in a long time.
