Years ago, I spent over two weeks putting together a three part audio documentary about the 2002 season for the Sacramento Kings. It's some of my best work that I am incredibly proud of.

Look, I know that OKC is the #1 defense in the NBA. That would be more comforting if this weren't a nightly problem.
Yes, the Kings defense is terrible. I understand Doug Christie's commitment to fixing it. But you can't fix a weakness before you establish a strength.

Domantas Sabonis & Zach LaVine have the potential to be a better duo than Sabonis & De'Aaron Fox were.
Their success heavily depends on the right pieces around them too. But in terms of a two-man game, I think they both can be elite together.

His scoring is elite. And I have not seen more of an effort to embrace Doug Christie's defensive expectations than from Zach.

Of the Kings' 9 national TV games, 6 are in Sacramento.
Once again, the NBA wants to showcase the Golden 1 Center and Kings fans. They know it's one of the best fanbases in the league.
