The sports media people I most respect are true journalists like Westhead, fun talk show types like H&B, good analysts like Harman Dayal, and passionate bloggers/youtubers who are fans first. Beat reporters are usually fine. Guys whose entire job description is ”insider” usually rub me the wrong way

Celebrating insiderism and access journalism is bad in sports and bad in politics too. Look at Axios/Semafor/Politico. Smarmiest shit ever. Disdain for both their audience and their subject matter.
