The other problem is there is so much data that it isn't even all being served up. I've written to NASA to show how useful EarthDEM is, but as of yet, there is a huge amount processed that isn't released according to an AGU talk last year @polargeospatial.bsky.social

-The departments and faculty that participate. We can review applications from students who might never have thought to apply to our university. The timing of the ] deadline in late March serves as a second round of admissions to fill any gaps from students who declined in the first round.

-The graduate student participants who are able to apply to dozens of graduate programs with a single application. This is very efficient for both the students and the faculty as students don't have to write to dozens of faculty to see who might be accepting students in a given year.

Specifically, the AGU Bridge Program benefits:

-Graduate students outside the AGU Bridge program in the affiliated departments. The process of applying to the AGU Bridge Program promotes implementation of best practices in graduate admissions and mentoring.
