This was my first micro terrarium. Probably 5 years old now. The container is plastic, which isn't ideal, but I slapped it together back in the day with little terrarium knowledge.

Wasn't sure how this sealed Ficus tree was going to do, but 4 months in and it's got all types of new leaves sprouting, so I know that it's happy.

Now that I know it's working, I'll do some ground cover.

It reminds me of the tiny tree planet in The Little Prince

First successful fern inside a sealed terrarium. About 14 months old. I added leaves from the backyard as ground cover to decompose and give the isopods and springtails somewhere to hide. Also feeds the soil as they rot. Almost do for a cleaning
