A Twitter refugee looking for reasonable engagement once again. Massachusetts (aka god’s country)
I wish I’d lived in an era when the future looked this cool — when technology felt like optimism instead of exhaustion.

Candy CPI up 9.8% year-over-year. This #Halloween, I’m implementing “micro-treats” to teach fiscal discipline. One M&M per trick-or-treater — inflation’s real, kids.

The Northeast Corridor is America’s nervous system — moving people, power, and ideas. You can literally see the pulse.

Only 4 of the 25 largest cities in the Americas are in the U.S. The rest? Latin America dominates this map.

A reminder that while the U.S. leads economically, LA leads demographically.
- U.S. metros sprawl across multiple cities
- LA megacities are hyper-centralized
- Population ≠ prosperity

Healthcare used to be a benefit. Somewhere along the way it became a privilege.

In 2026, Obamacare premiums will rise 18%. For a 55-year-old Arkansas couple making $85K, premiums will jump from $7k this year $30k next year.

How can the wealthiest country on the planet be okay with that?

I’ve been saying this all week. And it even got jimmy Kimmel fired. This was a snow job from day one!

They jump to mislead in moments of crisis because outrage is currency. Fear and fury lock in loyalty, drive clicks, and shift blame. Truth comes later — but by then, they have cashed the checks and the damage is done.

Inflation watch: After falling steadily from its 2022 peak above 9%, headline CPI has ticked back up to 2.9% with 4 straight monthly increases. A reminder that the path back to stable prices isn’t always a straight line ... particularly with heavy import tariffs. #CPI #Inflation #Economy

This chart is insane! Oracle just popped 40% in a day. Yes, Oracle.
That’s +128% in six months.

AI, cloud, and data aren’t just for the hyperscalers — the market’s re-rating the old guard too.

Legacy?

The starter home is vanishing — buyers are older, homes are 2x less affordable, and the “American Dream” keeps drifting further away.

Just got a “Final Notice” from the Massachusetts DMV (we don’t have a DMV… it’s the RMV) telling me to pay my traffic ticket at the toll booth (which haven’t existed here in years) — via a .vip website.

Pro tip, scammers: if you’re going to impersonate the state, at least Google it first.

More than 1 in 5 new cars sold worldwide last year was electric ⚡🚗

Norway? Practically all in.
Sweden? Over halfway there.
China? Nearly half.
US? Just 1 in 10.

The EV transition isn’t coming at the same pace everywhere — but the direction is clear. 🌍

The same system that keeps wages low and benefits scarce now calls the working poor ‘lazy’ for needing medical care. But as this data shows, most working-age Medicaid recipients are already employed—or can’t work because they’re caring for others, disabled, or in school.

Feeling lucky to call #Massachusetts home!
In some states, there are up to 6× more prisons than colleges—yet here in MA, we’ve got over 3× more higher-education hubs than incarceration spots. Grateful to live somewhere that puts learning before locking up.

China’s ~37% trade-to-GDP ratio places it within a middle bracket among major economies, reflecting a recalibration from export reliance toward domestic strength. Yet, its collision with U.S. tariffs hasn’t decoupled supply chains—it’s merely shifted them. Global resilience is in diversification.

Politicians use immigration to divide us. But Americans are more aligned than ever on the need for immigration reform.

“Brazil? Trade surplus. Tariff: 50%.

This isn’t strategy. It’s vibes-based economics with a dash of chaos. Stop trying to make sense of it—there isn’t any.”

This map scales U.S. states by their moose population—and Alaska absolutely dominates.

🥇 Alaska: ~200,000 moose
🥈 Maine: ~60,000
🥉 Idaho, Vermont, and Minnesota trail far behind.

Turns out some states aren’t just big in size—they’re huge in moose.

Which state surprises you most?

The House budget bill isn’t Robin Hood — it’s reverse Robin Hood.
🔻Poorest 10%: –6.6%
🔺Richest 10%: +1.4%
The biggest upward redistribution in U.S. history. A big, beautiful lie.
