Was it cross buy? If you download the PS4 version can you use the drums you have? Not the most ideal solution but better than nothing?

Yikes that's pretty awful. Have you tried escalating that with customer service? Compatibility needs to be revised if it's not correct.

It really is a backwards system. Basically doesn't allow refunds on any downloaded purchases. As if problems can't be discovered after that is done.
