A few years back, Northwest Connecticut was becoming a news desert and its storied weekly, the Lakeville Journal, was struggling to hold on and started exploring idea of a nonprofit model. Love seeing how effectively they’re making the case now. And a Meryl Streep endorsement doesn’t hurt!
