Meeting the Man: James Baldwin in Paris is a fascinatingly excruciating film where the filmmakers are at total cross-purposes with James Baldwin, disregarding his politics.

Flow is a beautiful animation from Latvia directed by Gints Zilbalodis. It follows a cat trying to survive after its world is flooded. Iggy was mesmerised by the cat's animation, and he never normally watches anything.

I'll need to watch Godard's The Image Book again, more than once. It's a dense text, and I have only the most superficial reading of it at present. Godard was a director seemingly unafraid of failure or of alienating his audience, great qualities for any artist.
