February in the Marvel Bicentennial/Sesquicentennial calendar is Hulk month.

On this day, the late comic book artist Rich Buckler was born. Learned that he drew the comic that came with the C64 game Spider-Man and Captain America in Dr Doom's Revenge.

Also Waitangi Day - the start of New Zealand.

Completed my third read of 2026!

A fanzine for the Commodore 64 with what would be like cheat codes in the gaming console sphere. Really liked the energetic vibe.

Finished the 'How AI Works' course in the Brilliant app.

Very informative; but for a non-coding course, the two sections using Python at the end felt out of place. They didn't explicitly tie it back to AI either although I could see how they were related.

Should have been in the Python course.

Completed my 2nd #book of 2026!

The Commodore 64 Book is a celebration of the Commodore 64 from the games, the SID (sound chip), companies, and magazines. A great trip down memory lane; and it creates the itch to fire up a C64!

I don't often post about politics on here.

Based on the overall characterization of Steve Rogers in the decades-long continuity of Marvel Comics, I can't fathom Captain America being a supporter of ICE in its current form.

Heck, Steve would likely ditch the Cap ID during this turbulent ICE time.
Always remember Renee #Good and Alex #Pretti

The original bicentennial calendar didn't include an assortment of holidays that the sesquicentennial caldendar does.

One such is that today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

I was looking foward to pointing out that not only is today Australia Day, the first permanent settlement of Australia by European; but Comic Book artist Sal Buscema's birthday.

Alas, Sal Buscema passed away recently. I remember his Spectaular Spider-Man, Defenders, and Captain America art.

RIP

Learned from the calendar that on this day, comic book artist Klaus Janson was born.

Completed my first #book of 2026 recently! Okay, an #audiobook to be precise.

Code Name: Pale Horse is about an undercover FBI agent who inflitrated many groups including actual Nazis.

My 25th and final #book read during 2025 closes the circle with my first book as I ended the year much like I began it with the Proto-Buck Rogers.

The Airlords of Han is more world building than action adventure.

My 24th #book read out of 25 during 2025 is another Christmas story.

Sherlock Holmes, a Krampus-like folkloric creature, and ghosts feature in this holiday whodunit.

I really need to read more Holmes.

Down to the final 3 of the 25 #books I read during 2025.

Coming in at 23 is Battle for Christmas. A nonfiction work that examines how Americans have celebrated Christmas, how those traditions evolved, and the arguments along the way.

Lots of information!

My 22nd read of 2025 was another quick read but a holiday one as on Christmas Eve a hitwoman has second thoughts.

Second thoughts her employer doesn't take kindly to.

On the final 5 of my count-up of the 25 #books I read during 2025 as my 21st is nonfiction.

I learned a lot about the different types of arthritis and joint maladies as well as their treatments.

My 19th out of 25 #books read during 2025 is another horror book.

It's one last get together amidst the Colorado Pines in the Rockies. Little do they know a bunch of tree hopping monsters whom are hungry have followed the blizzard blanketing the area.

Eighteen out of 25 #books during 2025 was an #audiobook. The first in the Runelords series, The Sum of All Men.

This is the kind of fantasy I grew up on; and I wish I read/listened to this sooner.

15th out 25 #books during 2025 was No More Tears.

Another 'single' for my 13th out of 25 reads during 2025.

A thriller that I did not predict the ending but all the clues were there.

Also the first time I've read Freida McFadden.

One side effect of ebooks is short stories and novellas are available for individual sale much like buying a single instead of a music album.

My 12th book is one of those as a fading celeb winds up on date with a stalker.

This would have worked better as a novel.

The 11th #book out of 25 total read during 2025 is a history book; and if you're a US citizen could be argued a patriotic read.

American Spring is primarily focused on New England details many of those figures and events more in-depth than a high school history class.

Continuing my countdown of my 25 books I read during 2025, Biplanes & How to Make Them is my 10th #book

A reproduction of an older work, it actually doesn't tell you how to make one. It tells you how to make biplane glider.

Yeah, I felt jilted 😅
