Because he was an egotist who made himself the story? Ok, most anchors on the Old Three, Fox, and major cable do that, but yelling at world leaders during a signing ceremony would have gotten any anchor fired in the Cronkite days.

Possible, yes. It costs moment and time, and most people don't make it, whether because their books aren't good, they haven't mastered book marketing (I hate it), or they haven't stuck to it long enough when thousands of novels appear every day. You love what you do and are determined. Good luck!
