In case anyone was interested, the issue preventing VAT Returns being done from #MSDyn365BC in the UK was that the GovTalk app hadn’t been updated for v27

A lot of the MVPs don’t post here anymore. Steve Endow never arrived and Jeremy, Kristen, Shannon, Christian and others hardly ever post.

Yeah but customers tended to not be on Twitter. Plus I couldn’t stay there once Musk started making increasingly destabilising changes to the platform

Shame. We had really good thing going there

You can’t ask for help on LinkedIn because it’s a b2b platform so the likelihood is that the customer who you’re doing the work is also there.

LinkedIn is vile. It’s a platform for self aggrandisement and no place for the kind of supportive warm community we built on Twitter.

If I want the right expression, I google it and then extrapolate the correct answer from the results. As I go I learn who to rely on. I don’t need a flaky third party to do it for me.

I’ve yet to be persuaded that AI is really worth exchanging humans for when looking for help.

I’m also “in IT” and have wasted far too much time explaining to customers why ChatGPT is wrong. Again.

…so I could write about post about it for engagement.

I didn’t engage because these people oughtn’t to be rewarded for this bilge.

Well quite. I thought it might be an interesting article that might illustrate my long-looked-for use case for generative AI. But no. It was basically, “here’s a thing that most people who use excel more than once a week know and that google could tell me in seconds and yet I got an AI to tell me”

I have spent the afternoon trying to shake off the feeling that Iain Duncan Smith and Mark E. Smith might also be brothers.

Dyer Dyer Pants on Fire

David Mitchell and Lee Mack have to decide if the unlikely sounding scenario described by the brothers is either Danny boasting; a scene from one of Geoff’s novels or actually the truth.
