This year's batch of umeshu has just been bottled, with just under a kilo of damsons from the garden now soaking in vodka while the rock sugar slowly dissolves. Must be time to taste last year's batch !

Back in Paris after 10 days at the New National Theatre Tokyo, where I had the pleasure of working on the video projections for the Japanese tour of the ballet 'Play' by Alexander Ekman with the Opéra National de Paris. Video playback with Watchout media-servers and Panasonic PT-RQ50K & PT-RZ21K.

Finally cracked the 'Bracket City' word quiz in the @theatlantic.com twice in one week ! And then failed miserably the next few days... Ah well.

For the last few years, I have been making umeshu with greengage from my parent’s garden in Shropshire. This year though, there is no fruit at all on the tree, despite lots of blossom back in the spring, so our 2024 vintage is a mix of reine-claude and quetsches from our local market in Paris

I quite often ride some parts of the Boulevards des Maréchaux to get to work, but until yesterday I'd never ridden the whole 33.8km loop of the V10 cycle route around Paris.

A first for me - a disguise media-server project with no video outputs! The amazing set for 'Macbeth Underworld', designed by Bruno de Lavenère, featured LED strips embedded into the floor and two towers, all moving on 4 revolves. matkeane.com/news/disguis...
