If my bins weren't being collected I would be quite put out too.

Sounds like they usually have collections more than once a week though which seems wild to me!

Every time I hope that this government has got as stupid as it's going to get...

Or resigned herself?

My level of confidence in how well it's going to be implemented even if it was a good idea to solve actual problems is almost exactly zero. Our government has a terrible track record with big and vital IT projects. And this one has to be absolutely right. Identity info is always a target.

I think it looks pretty cool, seems to be a möbius strip, but I fail to see the point in 2026 of building a giant monument to people convincing themselves it was an answered prayer instead of all the work put in by doctors or whoever actually influenced the outcome.

Oh my gosh that's a horrible story. At least she got some revenge!
November 28, 2025 at 2:11 PM
I don't know that one!

Have you heard the Ballad of Andrew Rose?
November 28, 2025 at 1:03 PM

Impartiality is supposed to be about truth! The truth is impartial! Which does mean if we happen to have a political faction which lies a lot they might feel like the bias is against them but that's what you get for lying - or should be.

I really wish they'd replace it with some real art that was humanising about refugees. At least then they'd be complaining about something someone did on purpose.
November 20, 2025 at 11:25 AM
It doesn't blow off, usually real dust that old has started to adhere.
November 20, 2025 at 11:22 AM
Absolutely. Except I'd call myself a former Labour supporter because they're now far too right wing to be supportable.

Fallout for Republicans who have no healthcare plan besides "no healthcare" would be worse.
November 12, 2025 at 12:31 PM
I might be going out on a limb here but I think it's the racism.
November 6, 2025 at 8:40 AM
Presumably they come in the mythical government funded coaches.
November 4, 2025 at 7:08 AM
It really doesn't feel like it should be very difficult but so many politicians fail on every point.
