Seems like the all clear has been given and the few who are still outside are heading back in. Just one of those things I guess

And now everyone is starting to disperse to their cars (and not back into the building). I think I’m ready for my Juneau adventures to stop. Although this is still preferable to the -40 we’ve got back home right now.

Yay! I’m super excited too. :)

We had that for lunch yesterday…. very cool postcard 💕

Instead of spending the night in Seattle and flying into Juneau tomorrow, mom is headed to Anchorage tonight and then Juneau tomorrow. Oof. That’s a looooong two days. She’s says it’s better than sitting at home, though, so I can’t complain with her head space 💕

The well and the community hall are about five minutes apart from each other (not sure if that was clear 🙃)

Not far, probably a 5 min drive. Both are about 10 miles from us. Some folk drive upward of 40 miles to the well & there are no immediate, easily available options should it be inoperable. There’s also no channel for realtime communication about the well; it can be challenging to get info.

I just looked at the calendar. This happened Saturday, not yesterday. All the days are starting to be just some day that ends in ‘y’. 🙃

Normally, the whole living-in-a-dry-off-grid-cabin-in-Alaska thing is fine. But Sunday, with the darkness and the frigid temps, was definitely a challenge for me. By the time it was all said and done, I was so very cold and brain numb. And hungry & dehydrated. And tired. I might still be all that.

Ooof. I hope the septic situation resolves quickly

Oh my goodness! Yaaaay! Thank you for sharing that. That’s super fantastic 💕

However, I think I now have the fodder I need to make tomorrow’s print. Using letterpress printing to journal has been one of my most fun art-direction decisions 😁💕
