eugene police department is bragging about 200 sworn officers on their page, they are not getting into fisticuffs with 400 ice officers

local police is not taking the risk of getting into a real confrontation with ice

this is exactly what the admin has been laying the ground work for since they started the hoax about illegals voting, and its foolish to think they wont try. keep in mind their objective is to simply make sure people dont vote, smashing polling places or intimidating workers is also a strategy.

they obviously dont need to arrest 30k people, they only need to make it so that normal people are afraid of going out to vote. this might of course drive up turn out, and i hope it will, but that is a gamble.

400 ice officers would be more than capable of posting up in groups of say 10 and rotate between polling places, beating up any brown or black people they find and snatching their identification, especially as the violence is likely to ramp up rather than down before the elections.

looking at the map, the only real population centers are eugene and corvallis, both college towns with 170k and 60k people respectively. according to what i can tell there are about 2-3k federal officers in minneapolis right now, and both of those cities are much smaller than minneapolis.

okay lets say ice split themselves evenly across the 50 or so swing districts, although they would probably focus on the most winnable ones, that's about 400 ice agents per district. lets take OR-4 in 2024. 379k people voted and the democrat won by about 30 thousand votes.

they are just out looking for all those illegals that voted in 2020

why would you assume that they would spread them evenly, they obviously know which neighborhoods to target or they wouldnt be able to gerrymander

and they redrew the maps as well so that makes more swing districts. all im saying is there is gonna whole lot of violence against people trying to vote, and the outcome is nowhere close to certain.

and how many of those are majority black or brown in swing districts?
