And, insurance denied my refill of Wegovy because they determined I wasn't losing fast enough. Then turned around & said "Oh, y'know...we're just not going to cover GLP-1s for anything other than diabetes, so go have some donuts or something, I dunno - get back to us when you've diabetes, I guess!"

I feel this every time I'm denied medication ("Horrendous menopause symptoms? Oh, sorry no...you're *checks notes*..fat, so you aren't a candidate for HRT"), or quality of life surgery ("Ooooh, end-stage osteoarthritis! That's gotta hurt! Hip replacement would improv...oh, wait, you're fat. Oops!")

Media sources from outside the US are probably going to be showing what's actually happening better than US media can or will, so when possible, follow those outlets. It's dangerous times, so DO be safe. But, don't give in. The more we show our opposition, the harder it will be to deny. 6/8

And why the bot farms are in overdrive. Mainstream media is compromised (and/or complicit) so places like Bluesky and other social media where people on the ground can share real-time video and narrative of what is ACTUALLY happening are about all we have left. They'll probably target this, too. 5/8

Ordinary citizens who took to the streets en masse to say "No more." There are more of us than there are of them, and they know it. That's why they're threatening federalizing the NG against citizens. That's why a certain someone is up all hours of the night posting threats and taunts. 4/8

...no one is coming to save us. It's down to us. We're seeing that our elected congressional officials are not interested in being the heroes we need to push back against the regime, either they're too scared, or they're complicit. Even V wasn't the hero in "V For Vendetta". It was The People. 3/8
