I thought Mamdani’s acceptance speech was brilliant and I said so at the time. But he must stand up to this antisemitic rage.

Last night a mob surrounded a synagogue in NYC, chanting “globalizize the Infitada from New York to Gaza.” No gaslighting, no bullshit about how that’s just an “innocent left-wing slogan open to interpretation”, can hide the message: armed uprising against Jews in New York.

ALL Americans - particularly who call themselves patriots! - should be appalled. The rejection of tyranny is our right and our sacred responsibility. 3/

This has nothing to do with making our country safer, or getting rid of people who should not be here. It is militarizing our streets in order to exert military control over the people of the United States. 2/

These ICE raids are doing nothing to make your communities safer, or your economic prospects brighter.
