whenever ppl wonder why GL is still really niche please do note that the combo of touhou/game + otaku doujin subcultures, shoujosei manga, & shakaijin yuri really crystallized in new ways by the 2010s & then worked alongside femslash culture, baihe culture, even later ... the scene grows

another great in-theory would be tumblr (custom CSS, great multimedia support, long textpost, tags) but somehow the site never clicks to me ever since 2012 I don't think I'll go back there now lolll
this is why while in theory fedi fits me to the T I ended up abandoning my acc there lol. if bsky is a barren wasteland *on my end* then fedi is a whole void abyss. I get being algorithm-free but even the search function there suck ass.
