No it doesn’t. And no we don’t need to be worried. 👍🏼 But by all means, do turn it off if doing that makes you feel happier.

Doesn’t really answer my question. You said it’s anti privacy. I asked an explanation. I got a sarcastic emoji.

You don’t have to turn it off every time. Change the setting so it remembers you want it kept turned off.

You do realise that figure is vast to us, but it’s simply loose change to Apple.
January 10, 2025 at 11:17 PM
How it it anti privacy?
January 10, 2025 at 11:11 PM
I’m sorry, but you obviously have no idea what the article is actually about.
January 10, 2025 at 11:05 PM
Exactly
January 10, 2025 at 11:00 PM
This particular specific feature isn’t “tracking” anyone, but don’t let facts get in the way of it.
January 10, 2025 at 10:57 PM
It’s not sold to anyone
January 10, 2025 at 10:56 PM
Yup, but that ain’t gonna stop the tin foil hat brigade automatically turning the feature off and shouting about how Apple is invading their privacy.
January 10, 2025 at 10:55 PM
Wrong, but never mind.
January 10, 2025 at 10:52 PM
Just shows you’ve not really “read” it.
January 10, 2025 at 10:50 PM
What privacy is it violating?
January 10, 2025 at 10:48 PM
Who wants that? Me.
January 10, 2025 at 10:41 PM
How to totally misunderstand two different news articles 👍🏼
January 10, 2025 at 10:36 PM
Exactly! Apple isn’t “looking” at all our photos.

I think I went to Threads first, because it came off the back of Instagram and thus a semi pre-made group of people to follow. Prior to this week’s X-odus BlueSky was just a bunch of complete strangers, with interests not particularly relevant to my own.

King has just migrated to Threads… whether he’ll be here too, dunno.
