Yes. It is complicated because most semi-natural sites in the south are only 20-30ha, and privately owned so getting the right management is very tricky! This site has been rescued by a small band of @dorsetbutterflies.bsky.social volunteers working over 40 years. But they have saved aurinia

Its a complicated site, once unmanaged for 50 years, then the scrub was cleared for conservation, leaving patches but fundamentally there is not much young Blackthorn. We will talk to private owners but its real importance is for Euphydryas aurinia which is doing well
