You can reclaim 100% of that space by moving your Photos library off your computer completely, and onto an external SSD. The Photos app behaves exactly as before, it just points to the external drive.

Same when I did it. One wanted to convict “because, y’know, there’s no smoke without fire”, while several others wanted to put defendant behind bars “to be on the safe side”. The glaring truth, which eventually prevailed: the police presented a shit case, with very nearly zero evidence. Not Guilty.

The extortion is not so easy with overseas media. ABC and CBS coughed up because Trump’s FCC buddies can make life extremely difficult for them by withdrawing licences etc. He has no such power over the BBC.
