Sounds about right.

On Dead Ringers they always send that up with the classic Farage line "No, no, let me speak", followed by a delay as no one interrupts him.

Nyet, comrade. 🤝

'Farage regularly appeared on state-controlled Russia Today, which apparently paid him for his services and boosted every speech he made as an MEP in the European Parliament. It also offered him his own TV show following the EU Referendum.'

Did I personally get paid to appear on Russia Today, and then push Putin's line in the European Parliament

Yes, I did.

So the line is that he wasn't getting paid for any of this

So many say, oh except he did:
- Increase NHS funding
- Tax private schools & non-doms
- Nationalise rail passenger services
- Invest billions in social housing
- Set up a national green energy company
- End no-fault evictions
- Massively enhance employment rights

Yes, because they had to find the money.

And I was right. They’re everywhere.

Also, it's not true that EV drivers don't pay tax on fuel.

They pay 20% VAT on public charging though, and 5% VAT on home charging.

As the article shows, an EV driver who relies on public chargers, already pays a higher cost per mile than a petrol or diesel driver.

What taxes apply to electric vehicles and when will new petrol and diesel cars be banned?
All new cars must be electric or hybrid from 2030, but the government could put new taxes on them.

As the chart in the above article shows, EV drivers who have to rely on public chargers ALREADY pay a much higher cost per mile than petrol and diesel car drivers.

That is exactly the opposite of how it should be.

Fuel duty is not a tax on road use, it's tax on wrecking the planet.

There's a reason EVs don't pay a fuel tax, and that's because they don't burn fossil fuels.

Anyone with a clue about UK politics knows reducing child poverty has been a core Labour policy for decades.

Blair-Brown massively delivered, and Keir Starmer aims do the same.
